Annual Exam
- An annual exam will give your veterinarian important information about your pet’s health.
Vaccines
- Rabies: Required by law.
- DHPP: Prevents distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, and Parainfluenza.
- Bordetella: Protects against contagious disease that causes a severe cough.
- Leptospirosis: Protects against a bacterial infection transmitted by the urine of wildlife, livestock, and rodents. This bacterium can be transmissible from pets to people.
- Lyme: Prevalent tick disease in our area.
- Canine Influenza (CIV): Protects against this contagious respiratory disease.
Parasite Screening Tests
- Fecal Test: Recommended annually to ensure your dog is free of intestinal parasites like roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and tapeworms. These parasites can be transmissible from pets to people.
- 4dx Test (Accuplex): This test checks for heartworm and tick-borne diseases including Lyme, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma.
Parasite Prevention Medication
- Heartworm/Flea/Tick/Intestinal Parasite Control: There are many preventative medications available. We can help determine which is right for your pet.
Annual Bloodwork
- Early Detection Screen: We recommend annual bloodwork to identify potential liver disease, anemia, kidney disease, diabetes, and thyroid disease.
Dental Care
- Regular dental care can extend the life of your pet and keep them comfortable into their senior years. Dental disease can affect the heart, kidneys, and other organs if left untreated.
Insurance
- Pet insurance can be a valuable investment in your pet’s health, providing peace of mind when unexpected health issues arise. We recommend exploring pet insurance options to find the right coverage for your pet.

- FVRCP (Feline Distemper Vaccine): Protects against Feline Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, and Panleukopenia.
- Feline Leukemia: Protects against a life-threatening virus that can suppress the immune system and lead to deadly infections. This vaccine is primarily for outdoor cats.
Parasite Screening Tests
- Fecal Test: Recommended annually to ensure your cat is free of intestinal parasites like roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms. These parasites can be transmissible from pets to people.
Parasite Prevention Medication
- Flea/Tick/Intestinal Parasite Control: We recommend a monthly parasite prevention medication. A topical product will control fleas, ticks, ear mites, and intestinal parasites.
Annual Bloodwork
- Early Detection Screen: We recommend annual bloodwork to identify potential liver disease, anemia, kidney disease, diabetes, and thyroid disease.
- Feline Leukemia/FIV/Heartworm Test: This test is recommended for all kittens and annually for cats that go outdoors. These viruses can cause chronic diseases and immune suppression in cats.
